► John Merritt, Preacher

John has been in the preaching ministry since 1998, serving churches in North Carolina, Kentucky and Indiana.  Since 2002 he has worked as the Library Director and served on the faculty of Louisville Bible College.  In February of 2011 he began an interim ministry with Scottsville Christian Church, and became the part-time preacher as of July 1, 2011.  John and his wife Mary have been married since 1991, and have one child.

Mark Brown is a graduate of Louisville Bible College where his wife, Sabrina, is also attending.  Mark and Sabrina have two terrific children, Kayla age 13, and Micah age 11.  Mark's passion in life is to reach a lost and dying world with a message of hope in a relevant manner.  Mark says that sometimes, youth ministry means you are part theologian and part lion tamer.  Mark oversees all youth activities which covers everything from choosing curriculum, organizing outings and service to the community, to coming up with brainless, messy, and zanny games that help to build Christian relationships.  The Browns also have two dogs who are part of the family, Grosto and Red.
